A beautiful hybrid of Anthurium forgetii and Anthurium nigrolaminum 'Gigi' inherits the best characteristics of both 'parents': the dark peltate foliage if Anthurium forgetii, and the texture of Anthurium nigrolaminum 'Gigi'.
The genus name Anthurium is derived form Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
