Monstera

Monstera covers both the instantly recognisable big climbers and a wider set of species with very different leaf shapes, textures and habits. Indoors they respond best to bright filtered light, chunky aroid mixes and support that lets the plant climb rather than collapse.

Monstera is at its best when the plant has enough light and structure to size up properly. Give it a board or pole, keep the roots airy, and the leaves usually repay the space you give them.
