Hoya carnosa 'Albomarginata' is a cultivar of Hoya carnosa (L.fil.) R.Br. Hoya carnosa has been in cultivation for more than 200 years and has given rise to many cultivars that vary in foliage form or flower color. It is definitely one of the most-loved and most-often cultivated Hoyas. Hoya carnosa 'Albomarginata'makes faintly succulent shoots with smooth, pale gray, and bare surfaces that twine and climb. Its leaves are ovate with white and pink variegation, especially around the margin.
The genus was named in Modern Latin in honor of English gardener and botanist Thomas Hoy (c. 1750-1822).
