Juncus decipiens subsp. decipiens
Juncus decipiens subsp. decipiens is a subspecies of Juncus decipiens (Buchenau) Nakai. (also known under its synonym name Juncus effusus f. spiralis ). It features a tuft of cylindrical, tightly spiraled, corkscrew-like green stems; which uncoil as they grow and spread out in all directions (both upright and prostrate) forming a somewhat contorted and tangled foliage mass. Clumps typically grow to 40 cm tall with a similar spread. Minute brown flowers bloom in loose cymes in summer.
