Pokon Expanded Clay Balls / LECA give roots a stable, airy, non-soil structure. The medium itself does not behave like compost: water and nutrients come from the reservoir and fertilising routine.

What it’s made from
Soil roots and water-adapted roots behave differently. Convert plants carefully, remove old soil thoroughly where appropriate and monitor the root system during the first weeks.
What matters
LECA does not remove the need for correct light, nutrient strength, pH awareness and reservoir hygiene. It is a medium, not a guarantee of easier growing.

- Semi-hydro: Use with a reservoir-style pot for inert-substrate setups.
- Rinse first: Rinse until water runs clear to remove dust and fines.
- Re-use: Can be cleaned and re-used after a soak and thorough rinse.
