Alocasia baginda 'Silver dragon' houseplants
  • One of the very showy Alocasias with very bullate, silver foliage,  Alocasia baginda 'Silver dragon' is a cultivar of Alocasia baginda Kurniawan & P.C.Boyce, which is native to Borneo.

    It is a tuberous, herbaceous plant with very dark matte green leaves, with contrasting pale grey/ silver bullate portions of the blade. Heart to arrowhead-shaped, very stiffly thickly coriaceous and almost completely peltate, each held singly atop long and sturdy succulent stems.

     

    Genus name comes form the Greek words a meaning without and Colocasia the name of a closely allied genus, form which it was separated.

    • Alocasia baginda 'Silver Dragon' comes in three sizes:

      baby (XS) - 12 cm high, Ø 6cm

      M - 25 cm high, Ø 12 cm

      L - 45cm high, Ø 19 cm
