Very rarely offered for sale or seen in collections, Alocasia suhirmaniana Yuzammi & A.Hay is a terrestrial herb. Leaf blades are broadly ovate-sagittate (shield-shaped), peltate, pointed down, thinly leathery, with the margin slightly undulate, glossy dark green adaxially with the major venation pale grey-green, dark purple abaxially.
Genus name comes form the Greek words a meaning without and Colocasia the name of a closely allied genus, form which it was separated.
