Anthurium draconopterum

Very stunning, large-growing, but delicate Anthurium draconopterum Sodiro belongs to the section Belolonchium.  Its petioles are erect and subcylindrical, the leaf blade is profoundly lobed with the base of the anterior lobes fairly constricted, providing for an unusual presentation of the lobes.

The genus name Anthurium is derived from Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very  literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
