It is a variegated variety of the popular cultivar Philodendron erubescens 'Red emerald'. It is characterised by its scandent habit and ; beautifully variegated, very variable foliage and on deep red petioles.
Petioles are flattened on the upper surface, especially towards the apex, terete below, leaf blades are herbaceous, elongate ovate-triangular sagittate. It is a very quick and easy grower and will climb given suitable support.
