Streptocarpus sect. Saintpaulia 'Snowdrop'

'Snowdrop' is a beautiful, variegated hybrid of the Streptocarpus sect. Saintpaulia. It has white blooms and gorgeously colored foliage, which is very fresh, deep green with white variegation along the leaf edges, sometimes spreading towards the midrib.

They are extremely good flowering houseplants that are commonly known as African violets, although not being closely related to actual violets. It is a short, compact plant with appealing thick, hairy, dark green leaves. Just above the leaves, the violet-like blooms are produced in tiny panicles. Plants that are managed in healthy growth condition nearly always have flowers.
