Davallia tyermannii fern houseplant
  • Davallia tyermannii (T.Moore) H.J.Veitch is also known as 'White Rabbit Foot Fern.' The arched, vigorous foot is covered with pure white hairs-- very furry. The fronds are lacy and deep, rich green.  Excellent as a pot plant, outstanding in a hanging basket for a houseplant as survives less than ideal levels of humidity.

     

    Genus name comes form New Latin, form Greek rhip-, rhips wickerwork + Latin -alis -al, referring to the plants' morphology.
