Goeppertia Calathea roseopicta 'Illustrious' houseplants
    • Goeppertia (Calathea) roseopicta 'Dottie' aka 'Illustrious' is a cultivar of Goeppertia roseopicta (Linden ex Lem.) Borchs. & S.Suárez. Its foliage is a very dark, almost black green colour and the wonderful, contrasting pink pattern on the leaf is very eye-catching.
     
    Genus name ; 'Goeppertia'  is in honor of the German botanist Heinrich Göppert, and was first described in 1831.
