Hoya pubicalyx 'Black Dragon' is a cultivar of Hoya pubicalyx Merr. It has thick, oblong to oblong-ovate, fleshy leaves. They are dark green. This Hoya cultivar blooms very readily, and its flowers are stunning, dark grey/ burgundy with pink centres, very showy and unusual.
The genus was named in Modern Latin in honor of English gardener and botanist Thomas Hoy (c. 1750-1822).
