Hoya ‘Puom Siam Ruby’ (PMp 176) is a stunning hybrid of; Hoya ‘Joy’ and Hoya ‘Jennifer’. It originated from Bangkok, Thailand. It has very conspicuous, raised venation and beautiful dark leaf margins.

The genus was named in Modern Latin in honor of English gardener and botanist Thomas Hoy (c. 1750-1822).
