Blush-pink, pale-pink and cream lines trace the veins over shiny dark-green foliage. The newest leaves often carry the clearest pink before becoming softer in colour as they harden. Pink may also continue along the edge, leaf stalk or protective sheath.
Leaves can differ markedly in their balance of colour: some are densely pinstriped, while others retain more green. Upright stalks gather the pointed oval leaves into a compact, layered crown.
