Cordyline terminalis 'Chocolate Queen' houseplants
  • Cordyline fruticosa 'Chocolate Queen' is a variegated cultivar of Cordyline fruticosa (L.) A.Chev. Its strap-like foliage is very wide for a Cordyline and the variegation shows in pale yellow and white stripes. As the leaves mature, they become chocolate-purple  (hence the name) and deep-red. A truly showy and colourful plant!

The name Cordyline comes from the Greek word kordyle, meaning "club," a reference to the enlarged underground stems or rhizomes.
