Aglaonema 'Silver Bay' is a fabulous plant for areas with lower light and is very low maintenance. The Aglaonema commutatum Schott variety, commonly called 'Philippine Evergreen', is an evergreen perennial that generally resembles Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane). Aglaonema 'Silver Bay' is beautifully colored, with silver-mint leaf blades and dark green, unevenly patterned margins.
The genus name is composed of the Greek words aglaos (bright or clear) and nema (filament), referring to the stamens.
