Goeppertia ornata (Linden) Borchs. & S.Suárez has very dramatic broad oval-shaped leaves, emerging bright green with pinky-white zebra stripes radiating out form the central vein. As the foliage matures the leaves deepen to dark green with striking white strips and a dusty pink underside.
Genus name ; 'Goeppertia' is in honor of the German botanist Heinrich Göppert, and was first described in 1831.
