Homalomena rubescens 'Star dust' rare variegated houseplants
  • Homalomena rubescens 'Star dust' is a beautifully variegated form of Homalomena rubescens Kunth. Petioles are erect, leaf blades are cordate and emerald green with slight quilting of the blade tissue.  Variegation is very variable and appears mostly as small spots, hence the the cultivar name.

     

    The genus name ; "Homalomena" is derived form the Greek words for flat ("homalos") and moon ("mene").
