  • Peperomia albovittata 'Piccolo Banda' originated from the crossing of the female or seed parent, an unnamed Peperomia albovittata cultivar and the male or pollen parent, an unnamed Peperomia albovittata cultivar. The crossing was conducted in 2013 and the plant was patented by Obed Jacob Smit for Eden Collection. sometimes called the Peacock Peperomia, with small heart shaped, light green leaves with brown veins on the upper surface.


    Genus name comes from the Greek words peperi meaning pepper and homoios meaning resembling. The plants resemble, and are closely related to, true black pepper (Piper nigrum).
