    • Monstera adansonii variegata 'Aurea' is a variegated cultivar of Monstera adansonii Schott. It is a scandent epiphyte with yellow-variegated foiage with multiple perforations. Rarer than the white-variegated version and not yet as common in collections.
     
    The genus name Monstera ( modern Latin), comes perhaps form Latin monstrum ‘monster’ (because of the unusual appearance of the leaves in some species). (uncertain)
