Xmas tree - Picea abies "Will's Zwerg" - a lovely miniature Spruce which could last a lifetime if cared for correctly.
It can be planted in a large container and kept on a balcony/ terrace, or planted in the garden. Best planted in well drained, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade.
This plant can be brought inside for the festivities. The tree should not be brought indoors more than 10 days before Christmas and it should be kept away from heat sources and be well watered.
After Christmas, if the temperatures are below zero, the tree should not be placed directly outside. It is better to put it in a frost-free, bright place. By keeping it in a warm place during Christmas, you are interrupting its winter dormancy, so a heavy frost immediately afterwards can severely damage the tree.
