Anacampseros rufescens f. variegata succulent houseplant
  • Anacampseros rufescens f. variegata is a variegated variety of Anacampseros rufescens (Harv.) Sw. The name of the genus Anacampseros is derived from the Greek "ἀνακαμπψέρος" and means "to lower", in fact it is a low-growing succulent plant, which clusters easily and assumes a groundcover habit. A. Rufescens f. variegated is called '春梦殿锦' in Chinese, which means "Spring Dream" because of the beautiful shades of green and magenta of its small fleshy leaves. In spring you can admire its beautiful white or pink flowers, which bloom from a long stalk.

Anacampseros rufescens is one of the more common species in cultivation and quite resistant to cultivation. The only things that can kill this plant are cold and overwatering. Nevertheless, it is appropriate to provide adequate growing conditions in order to obtain compact plant with many flowers.
