Anthurium vittarifolium
  • Anthurium vittarifolium Engl. is a pendent Anthurium growing on lower elevations. It belongs to section Urospadix. Petiole is rounded abaxially, flat (or even) above. Leaf blades are subcoraceous, sublinear, and uo 1.5 m long, narrowed form the 3 cm wide middle toward the acute base and gradually toward the apex; midrib rounded in (or at) the slender back.

     

    The genus name Anthurium is derived form Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very  literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
